2018 Season Concert Schedule

Sunday, June 3 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Mayor James Ardis is our celebrity emcee as the 81st season gets underway. Denise Adams and her Morton Civic Chorus joins us this evening for a grand Beginning.  The Flute section is featured.

Wednesday, June 6 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Downtown on the Corner of State and Water Street

The Irish Are Coming tonight as we perform in front of Kelleher’s Irish Pub and Eatery.  Jennifer Rosa is our soprano soloist and we feature the best instrument in the band, The Horns! Free parking is plentiful and adjacent to the performance site.

Sunday, June 10 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Star Wars is our theme this evening so bring your imagination and your lightsaber.  Jennifer Rosa sings and the Horns come to the front of the stage one more time.  Bob Larson is our guest emcee.

Wednesday, June 13 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Flag Day, We Go First!  Wear red and white tonight and bring your patriotism with you.  Katie Speiden is our vocal soloist and Carl Anderson, trombone, is our featured instrumental soloist.

Sunday, June 17 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Fathers Day Special!  Jennifer Gordon of ArtsPartners is our guest emcee this evening.  Katie Speiden will sing and Carl Anderson will impress you with his slide trombone.  We will be playing music that fathers enjoy so bring them to this free concert.

Wednesday, June 20 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Just a little music from The Big Bands.  Them Trombones will be featured this evening and you get two vocalists for one performance.  Carrie Tilly, a newcomer, and Anton Grasch will sing!

Sunday, June 24 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Suddenly Sousa will feature some great music by the march king.  Carrie Tilly and Anton Grasch are singing and yes, Them Trombones will be with us once again.  The infamous Chuck Collins is our guest emcee.

Wednesday, June 27 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Youth is on Parade as we salute younger musicians and feature the winner of the John Kamarer Youth Soloist Competition.  Courtney Huffman is our soprano soloist and she sings beautifully!

Friday, June 29 @ 7:00 p.m. at St. Philomena Church

1000 W. Albany Avenue, Peoria

It has become a tradition, we are back at a favorite Friday night venue for another hour long performance.  Courtney Huffman will be singing and you should bring a lawn chair to this one!

Sunday, July 1 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Illinois – 200 years!  This evening celebrate our state’s birthday.  Courtney Huffman will be singing and the John Kamarer youth Soloist Competition winner will be performing.  James Wilhelm, appropriately, will be our guest emcee.

Tuesday, July 3 @ 8:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Fireworks!  A full day of patriotic celebration is planned by our Peoria Park District.  Come early and hear Lee Wenger and Kristin Lelm sing as our Dixieland Band comes front and center.

Sunday, July 8 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Lee Ranson is our guest emcee for the evening concert we call Weather or Not.  Lee Wenger and Kristin Lelm will be there to sing and the PMB Dixieland Band will peform one more time. There will be plenty of American music left over from Tuesday.

Wednesday, July 11 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Rock It this evening with violinist Molly Wilson and vocal soloists Rebecca Opperman and Mollie Krueger.  There is no way you will be able to sit still at this concert.

Sunday, July 15 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Mark Spenny from CEFCU is our guest emcee this evening.  Bug Rock is our theme and we don’t know what to play.  Violinist Molly Wilson will perform along with vocalists Rebecca Opperman and Mollie Krueger.  Bring bug spray.

Wednesday, July 18 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Music from The 1980’s is featured this evening so bring your almanac.  Colleen Rice and Kenny Beckett are singing and Jeremy Clark will be drumming.  This will be fun.

Sunday, July 22 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

A World of Dance is planned this evening with some Salsa and some Tango.  Some band members will guest emcee and Colleen Rice and Kenny Beckett are singing.  Jeremy Clark will once again be drumming. Hey, he is pretty good! 🙂

Wednesday Night Fever!  Bring your dancing shoes to this one.  Deb Austin will be singing and Sam Stauffer will be our featured euphonium soloist.  Bring friends.

Friday, July 27 @ 7:00 p.m. at United Presbyterian Church

2400 W. Northmoor Road, Peoria

Rain or shine – a one hour program performed by the PMB mini-band.  Big music from a smaller group.  Deb Austin will be singing.

Sunday, July 29 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Video Game Bonanza is our theme for this evening.  You don’t have to play video games to enjoy the music, but it could help.  Deb Austin is singing and Sam Stauffer will polish his euphonium for this one.

Wednesday, August 1 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Warehouse District

Downtown! is our theme tonight.  Nicholas Filzen is our talented vocal soloist and our PMB Saxophone section will be our featured instrumental soloists.

Sunday, August 5 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Tonight is the College Fight Song Salute!  Wear your favorite university gear and come out to hear Nicholas Filzen sing and the Saxophone section solo.  The Dunlap H.S. flags will be here and we are hoping that Bill Booher might be our guest emcee.

Harry Potter or Pat Sullivan? Linden Christ comes down from Chicago to sing with the band and Mr. Colby Spengler will amaze you on clarinet.

Sunday, August 12 @ 7:00 p.m. in Glen Oak Park

Flippin’ Into Fall.  Gym Corner will be tumbling as the band reviews some of the more popular selections from the season.  Linden Christ will be singing and Colby Spengler will perform on clarinet.  Ed Hammond is our guest emcee for the final concert of the 2018 season.
