Doris Snyder attended the Sunday, July 8 concert of the Peoria Municipal Band at Glen Oak Park. She has enjoyed the performances for years and will be 110 on August 10th. Lee Wenger, band commissioner and vocal soloist, is pictured here with Doris thanking her for her support of the band.

The Peoria Municipal Band, under the direction of Dr. David Vroman, will begin their 81st season of summer concerts on Sunday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Glen Oak Park Amphitheater in Peoria, Illinois and follow up in the Peoria Warehouse District on Wednesday, June 6th. The 2018 Peoria Municipal Band Summer Season consists of 24 concert performances by a band of 50 musicians. All concerts are free of charge and parking is adjacent to the performing venues.
The Peoria Fire Department Color Guard will present the colors and Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis will narrate the first half of the program. Featured as soloists will be the Morton Civic Chorus lead by Denise Adams.
The Peoria Municipal Band Season is just around the corner. The band will play for Memorial Day Ceremonies at the Gateway Building on Monday, May 28th at 10:30 a.m. Then, beginning Sunday, June 3rd, the band will begin their 2018 concert season in the Glen Oak Park Amphitheatre at 7:00 p.m. All concerts are free of charge.
